When did you start tattooing?

1997

Do you have any special training?

I went through one year of college at Maryland Institute College of Art before losing a scholarship.

What conventions do you usually work?

I've never attended a convention yet but that will be changing in the near future.

Where did you apprentice?

Artistic Ink in Baltimore Md.

How did you get into tattooing?

I was working at a dead end job at a bottling factory. For eight months I stuck it out doing rotating shift work until I had enough of not getting anywhere while feeling run down all the time. I searched for some instance where I could get paid to draw so I started trying to sell my own tattoo flash. I didn't sell many due to the fact that at 20 I didn't know what people liked as tattoos at that time. I then tried contacting local shops in Baltimore to see if anyone was in need of an apprentice and luckily Artistic Ink was looking for an artist as one of their tattooists had left a few weeks prior. I brought my portfolio into the shop and after an hour or so, I was approved by the owner and started working as an apprentice.

What inspires you as an artist?

Nature, music, other artists, and horror movies. But the most inspiration I get is from my family, for they are my muse and love, and without them I would be less of an artist.

What tattoo artist do you most admire?

My friends and family. Stevie Monie is my cousin and I absolutely enjoy his artwork. I had the pleasure of working with Parry Chodipradit at Red Octopus Tattoo in Landover, Md.

Have you tattooed any celebrities?

Before someone gets a tattoo, what advice do you give them?

If they are young and getting the tattoo in a highly visible place I always ask them if they are quite sure about getting the tattoo. Other then that I tell the client to just relax, it's never as bad as they may think in their heads.

Is there anyone that you would like to tattoo?

I want to tattoo anyone and everyone who would appreciate my artwork on them.

What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing?

I look forward to doing tattoos that push me as an artist. I look forward to doing tattoos that other artists won't touch because they feel they can't do it. I look forward to doing tattoos that simply make my client happiest.

Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do?

Salvadore Dali is probably one of my favorite artists of all time along with John Singer Sargent, Michelangelo and Boris Vallejo. I'd like to tattoo any of their artwork on someone.
