Do you have any special training?
I dont know about special ya know, Ive worked in a few different shops picking up different tricks along the way. I also spent most of 2009 tattooing in China so I would like to think that helps me understand some of the asian artistic influences a little more than most.
What conventions do you usually work?
Im new to the convention circuit but am doing my first show next month at the Reno immersed in ink convention
Where did you apprentice?
I got my start at Paradox tattoo, it wasn't the best place to learn but it got my foot in the door and opened me up to the industry
How did you get into tattooing?
I always loved art and growing up I was deeply fascinated with tattooing, kinda just fell into it naturally.
What inspires you as an artist?
Shawn Barber! among others...
What tattoo artist do you most admire?
The list goes on and on!
Some of my local favorites are Vic Bac, Oak Adams and R2. Then some of the big names like Nikko, Phil Garcia, Brandon Bond, Shige, ect.
Have you tattooed any celebrities?
Before someone gets a tattoo, what advice do you give them?
Listen to the artist, usually they know best. And if you cant trust an artists advice dont get tattooed by them
Is there anyone that you would like to tattoo?
I get excited to work on just about any artist whos work I admire, I think its a great way to meet new people in the industry and to learn from them while your tattooing.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing?
I am working on developing my own style, something like Brandon Bonds work in Japanese style tattooing, a new skool twist with Asian influence.
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do?
Love to do more Bio organic
