When did you start tattooing?

2005

Do you have any special training?

Hmm...no real training besides the First Aid/CPR courses tattooers need. But everyone should have those right? So I guess it's not so special. Other than that I'm mostly self taught in everything.

Tell us about the style of your work?

old school, colorful, traditional

What conventions do you usually work?

Sadly I haven't worked any conventions yet, but I'm working on it.

Where did you apprentice?

I had sort of an unofficial apprenticeship. Most everything I learned I've learned on my own. I've always tried to absorb as much as I can when in an environment where there's knowledge to be gained.

How did you get into tattooing?

I kind of forced myself to do this. I've always drawn and stuff so I had that much going. I hated working "real jobs" so I tried to jump into doing this early.

What inspires you as an artist?

Other artists, nature, photography and art in general. Pretty much anything can randomly spark an idea.

What tattoo artist do you most admire?

There's so many amazing tattooers out there it's hard to choose. I've grown quite fond of a lot of overseas work, especially out of Spain. They do some really cool stuff with the "classic" tattoo look

Have you tattooed any celebrities?

Before someone gets a tattoo, what advice do you give them?

One of the most important things I think is not to rush the tattoo. I feel like a lot of people are in a hurry for the end result. I try my best to get people to let it just happen naturally, at it's own pace, which results in a better tattoo.

Is there anyone that you would like to tattoo?

Whoever is willing to let me do something awesome and fun on them. Other tattooers. I'd like to have some tattoos roaming around overseas.

What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing?

I love doing bold tattoos. I also like mixing slightly more realistic or detailed stuff with bold, solid colored stuff. I think it makes for a good and interesting contrast within not just colors and shades but in styles.

Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do?

I would definitely like to tattoo more stuff that I've drawn that's just laying around or stuffed in a book somewhere. And birds, I've had the urge to do more birds lately.
