When did you start tattooing?
Do you have any special training?
After my apprenticeship, I developed many different techniques, just by studying many of today's great tattooers.
Tell us about the style of your work?
What conventions do you usually work?
Haven't done any outside of NY yet. But plan on hitting up some of the PA ones this year. If I can find a sponsorship, I'd like to start attending some of the larger conventions.
Where did you apprentice?
How did you get into tattooing?
I was asked to start an apprenticeship, during my last few months in the army. Chose to do this instead of go to college, and I must say, it was a great decision. The Army even allowed me to use my GI Bill to pay for my training.
What tattoo artist do you most admire?
Before someone gets a tattoo, what advice do you give them?
Research your artist!!! Compare portfolios. Don't sacrifice quality for price.
Is there anyone that you would like to tattoo?
A nice bare canvas, with the desire to be covered is always nice.
What kind of tattoos do you look forward to doing?
Basically anything done in Synthetic Realism [synthism]. It's a combination of realism, Nu Skool, and Neo-tradional artwork. I just mix the styles, to give it that exaggerated natural appearance.
Is there a tattoo that you haven't done yet that you are dying to do?
A flamingo 1/4 sleeve, or a honey badger battling a cobra. I'm a big fan of crazy themes with witty banners.
